"The Legends" hit the road again. A group of cycling enthusiasts from Betws known simply as "The Legends" met at the Clubhouse on Saturday, 20th October, before making their way to Tenby (no, not the pub in Panfyffynnon, the actual place!). The group have in the past literally cycled the length and breadth of the United Kingdom, primarily raising money for the Betws in Need Charity.
They have been highly successful and are to be commended by all for their efforts. A number of "Legends" groupies met the lads at Tenby that evening and a good night was had by all.
Visitors from the USA enjoy Sunday lunch at the Clubhouse. It seems that the reputation of "Y Gegin Fach", the caterers at the club, has made it across the Atlantic. Ross and Beth Stevens accompanied by their delightful daughters Callie (aged 4) and Maggie (2) paid a visit to the club on Sunday and enjoyed a traditional home-cooked Sunday lunch.
The Stevens family, who live in Springfield, Illinois, are on a visit to Wales to meet members of the Welsh side of the family and judging on the number of cousins etc that called to see them, they won't be returning home for a while! |
